Casting platform, CRM and mobile apps for Real People Casting

Real People Casting is a Glasgow agency that has supplied extras for film and television, and photographic models, since 1990. It manages thousands of adults and children on its books, meets new members in person, and works to tight production deadlines for broadcasters and productions filming in Scotland.

Casting work moves fast. When a production needs extras, the agency has to find people with the right look, check who is available and confirm bookings, often within hours. The agency needed its talent records, bookings and day-to-day work in one system, and a quick way for talent to keep their details up to date and respond to job offers.

We built the agency’s website, where people can find out about the agency and apply to join. Behind it, we built a CRM that holds talent profiles and the day-to-day work of the agency.

We also built the Real People mobile apps for iOS and Android. Members use the app to manage their profile, see future jobs, get alerts and job confirmations, and accept or turn down offers.

The website and CRM are built with Laravel and MySQL. The mobile apps are built with C# and .NET MAUI.

The agency’s director describes the work as having renewed the whole business structure, with a tremendous difference to productivity and profit margin.
