We are delighted to share that Niletech has been named Best Web Development & AI Integration Company 2025 in the SME News Scottish Enterprise Awards.
The awards, run by SME News, recognise small and medium-sized businesses across Scotland for their ambition, innovation and resilience. The organisers selected winners through what they describe as a merit-led research and evaluation process, based on supporting information about each business. You can see our entry on the SME News winners page.
Why this award matters to us
Niletech was founded in 2023 with a simple idea: businesses should be able to work directly with the senior developer building their software, without handoffs or a sales team in between. We added AI to our services in 2024, because we saw how much time smaller organisations could save if AI was built into the tools they already use, rather than bolted on as yet another subscription.
An award for both web development and AI integration recognises exactly that combination. It reflects the work we do every day, and the clients who trust us with the systems their teams rely on.
The work behind it
The recognition is really about the projects our clients let us build. In the past few years that has included:
- the Creative Scotland Opportunities platform, which we built, host and support, and recently rebuilt on a modern framework
- the LBTT tax calculators on the Revenue Scotland website, developed as a subcontractor
- a website, CRM and mobile apps for Real People Casting
- a car leasing website and CRM for First Vehicle Leasing
- an online property auction website for Brighton & Beck Property, with listings pulled from the Street CRM
- the TicketPal event ticketing platform
You can see more examples on our work page.
What it means for our clients
Nothing about how we work changes. You still speak to the person building your software, you still get a written estimate before work starts, and you still see working software every fortnight. Read more about how we work.
What the award does give us is a chance to say thank you, to our clients, to the people who have recommended us, and to everyone who has trusted a small, senior-led studio with work that matters to them.
